Spc. Colin O. - Brooklyn Park, MN,
U.S. Army Artillery
- I am Spc. Colin O'Connor from the Church in Brooklyn Park, MN. I heard
about your prayer for saints overseas from the Bibles for America saints who recently
came to our locality to distribute. I'm actually on leave right now, and will return
to the Anbar Province in Iraq within a week to serve with the Army as a Forward
Observer (Artillery).
In addition to the preservation of my being, my chief burden is for a companion
in the Lord.
If any of the saints in your listing were willing to say so, I would like to know
if they were on my base. Some may be confused: their location in Iraq is not a
secret. What is secret are the dates, times, numbers, and equipment during MOVEMENTS.
The move is secret, but once in place again, the new LOCATION is NOT confidential.
This is policy for regular troops, but the saints may prefer to remain hidden.
I am stationed at Al Taqqadam.
I have a SIPR account that they may be able to contact me securely on:
(Please contact mail@churchinsaltlakecity.org). The same address applies to the NIPR network.
Thank-you for your prayer support for the saints overseas.
Grace be to you,
Brother Colin

And as a reminder, Adam P. is still in Iraq in the city of Baghdad serving kind
of like a Public Relations guy between the Iraqis and the US military. Not an easy
job to say the least.
Again, thank you all.

Prayers
- June 16, 2003 - Thank you so much for keeping this up to date - I know it
must be time consuming for you, but it helps all of us to know that saints all
over the USA and even worldwide are praying for our military personnel - Cathy C.,
Chicago, IL
- (We) pray for the safety of this people, the Lord's servants
and all the local saints, as well as for our brothers and sisters on the front
lines in Iraq, according to the Lord's interest for the carrying our of His economy.
Our trust is in the Lord, our burden is for this people, and our future is in His
hands. May He gain the glory and may the white horse of the gospel run fruitfully
during these troubled times (from a brother in Israel).
- Pray for the Church in Baghdad - the spreading of the Lord's
recovery in this country. - SL
- Lord Jesus, You are on the throne. Your are in control. Lord Jesus, thank
You for your multifarious wisdom. May each of these dear ones have more and more
intimate and personal contact with You. Bless them much in Your grace and truth.
Make them channels to flow you out to others around them. Keep and perseve them
for Your testimony and recovery. Lord Jesus, as the Lord of lords and King of
kings You rule over the nations to bring Your kingdom to earth. KB
- Dear Lord, You are the keeper both outwardly and within them. You have allowed
them to come into the dangerous situation. Yet these are ones precious to You and
to us for Your interest, as our sons and daughters, as brothers and sisters in the
Lord, as fellow members in Your Body. Keep them from Your enemy. Keep them from
physical harm. Cover their psychology from the terrible effects of war. Keep their
hearts for You. Even increase Yourself in them. Cause their hearts to turn and open
to you. Lord, use all of this mess to further the accomplishment of Your eternal
purpose. We do love You, Lord. Yet our hearts are filled with concern for our young
ones. Keep us also, Lord, from being consumed with anxiety. Be in us the peace and
rest. Lord, we are for You. Keep us with them for Your sake…Amen, Lord.

Introduction: March 18, 2003 - We know there are
a number of young ones who
are among us or related to us in the churches and who have been or are being sent
into the dangerous environment of war today. I also am sure, based on history, that
there are many who will be touched by the Lord and turned to Him during this time.
We are concerned for all of these dear ones, for their safety physically, for the
potential effect of war on their psychology, and for their being kept inwardly by
the Lord for Himself and for His interest.
We are also concerned for all of the populations in the regions
of war who will likely be effected by any conflict. Surely the Lord has many people
in these areas whom he has preserved for Himself. In order for the gospel of the
kingdom
(Matthew 24:14)
to go to the uttermost parts of the earth, those regions involved in the present
contention also must have this gospel going there. Therefore, we should pray that
the Lord will, in His sovereignty, exercise His operation in all of the outward
situations to turn them for His interest and to make an environment for this gospel
and His recovery to go forward.
This web page is intended to be a place where we can post the
names of those we know so that we all can pray for them specifically. Initially at
least we are putting just first with last initial and locality. If we receive a
few details we'll could include them. We welcome your prayers. If you would like
to send prayers by email these may also be posted as appropriate. The prayers need
not and should not be limited to individuals. We also need to pray for the people
in these regions. We will also place these prayers here as appropriate.
We welcome any fellowship or feedback you might have for us.
Let us know if you have some thought on this or some speaking of the Lord for us
mail@churchinsaltlakecity.org.
May the Lord operate in all of these ones and in all of these
circumstances for His interest.
Why no last names? - We struggled a little with this. Seems like
we might want to know all of the last names in praying for these ones. But, since
this is a public place, not putting the names here is a little covering for them
and the families lest the enemy have some way to take advantage. Those who know
them and their families already have the last names. Those who don't can still
pray for them. These are our own children, and brothers, and sisters, and members.
We already know them in the Lord...
Please pray for "Operation
White Horse" at Bibles for America.
